    Gold ETP means Gold Exchange Traded Product. Gold ETPs are products which aim to track the price of gold and are traded on an exchange.

    Gold ETPs comprise

    Gold ETPs can differ in various respects. Some of these products actually hold physical gold whereas other instruments may track the price of gold using financial products/derivatives.

    Some instruments only constitute debt notes which are subject to risk of default by the issuing bank as counter party; some of them are backed by physical gold while others are not.
